primary love languages : physical touch, quality time and words of affirmation.due to isolation in her teenage formation years, she developed reclusive tendencies including being aversive to touches in general.with the exception of the sisters hugging each other at the end of the first movie, she would likely struggle adjusting to physical touches, especially hugs from someone other than anna, kristoff (the latter may happen a bit later), and olaf.the gloves played a big role in this. prior to her 'let it go' moment, gloves help add that extra layer of security and of course, conceal her powers.but after taking it off, it would take a long time for her to adjust to being 'naked' per se, her coldness being most notable especially after handshakes (yes she's a queen but there may be times when she has to shake hands with either the common people or noble people).that being said, once she trusts someone other than the mentioned people from before, physical touch would definitely be her main love language.followed by quality time, again her isolation years played a big part here, as she'd likely try and find ways to squeeze in these moments in between her busy schedule as queen/fifth spirit. plus, these moments sometimes offer a significant mood booster for her, especially after a long day.finally, being told to 'keep it together', 'conceal, don't feel' has resulted in her developing deep anxiety and insecurities. and so, she's the type to readily express words of affirmation to her loved ones and would be quite hard on herself — but to be the one on the receiving end, she'd definitely appreciate it!

a reluctant leader.it's established in frozen 2 that elsa didn't really feel like she should be queen. although being the first in line meant that her coronation was confirmed from her birth, she knew she wasn't the right person to rule a kingdom. but of course, after the events in frozen, she fulfilled her duties to the best of her abilities.just like in real life, someone who is a leader/holds the highest position may sometimes feel like they're not qualified to do the work, or even if they do, they think that others may be more deserving than them. from others' perspectives, however, it is the opposite. chances are, reluctant leaders like elsa may not even realize this.so there's this idea where elsa would totally dread all the meetings with traders, lords, and ambassadors, as it meant she had to constantly take into consideration of every party's proposals and feelings or risk losing trade relations, and worse starting a war with another kingdom.not to mention, while in history there were queens who ruled their kingdom for a while due to having no male heir as successors, this meant that elsa would've faced tremendous struggles during her leadership due to her gender. that, combined with the news of how she unintentionally plunged arendelle into a winter catastrophe in the middle of summer, one can imagine the difficult circumstances she'd find herself in.on top of these royal duties, she also had to maintain an amiable, but respectable reputation when addressing her subjects. from town hall hearing with the people to regularly visiting them in town squares etc., one can imagine the constant pressure of having to maintain a good public image with them. with that being said, although her reign was short (3 years if we count from the movies), she did her best as arendelle's queen.while most subjects and trade partners had no issue with her rule and respected her, some held a degree of prejudice due to her winter disaster during her coronation.although this was not explored in movies and some books, it'd make sense in real life if some people would still remember her big mistake. plus with that era and the sentiment surrounding magic being very much a taboo, well. . . yeah. just look at duke weselton and king runeard's animosity against sorcery!this is why this headcanon made sense (and maybe partially canon) since at the end of frozen 2, she abdicated her throne and passed it to anna, which no doubt is a great leader of her own and seems to fit in with the role better than elsa did.all in all, her transition from being a reluctant queen to a free spirit still meant that she still feels responsible with her new role, just that she's now in a much more flexible position as the fifth spirit, and being closer to nature afforded her more freedom to be herself.

she smelled of lavender and sandalwood.she rarely sweats herself (being literally cold) so she would use a combination of lavender and sandalwood essential body oil on herself.this is because she craves some soothing scent without it being too overpowering. both lavender and sandalwood would be a stress reliever for her, yet still smells pleasant after some time.castle staff and those close to her can confirm she is, indeed, smells pleasant and soft.

verbal communication is never her strength.she is the type who’d break down or shut people out right there and then if she gets into an argument, probably halfway in and she’d either just bawl her eyes out or leave the room entirely.elsa hates it when it happens because this meant that she has lost sight of the argument, and that might force her to restart the conversation to set things straight.this is also the result of someone who has repressed their feelings for a long time, and to unlearn it would take years. as such, when she is in a distressed state, her hands/fingers would tremble — and generally this applies to her voice, too. the higher it is, the likely her voice might crack.hence, she prefers to confront someone through written words, the pen and the paper being her reliable companion due to their objective purposes. she’ll only explain herself verbally if she has to.

an avid reader.elsa is an avid reader like her parents. when they passed away, she spent more time reading in the library to help her cope with grief. even in between her royal lessons and briefings from lord peterssen about arendelle’s latest affairs, she’d always carry a book in hand. she loved reading books as it meant a great escape from her desperate need to ignore her powers–which evidently grew stronger every day.the books are magical for her as the words found in those pages were able to transport her to another realm, fuelled only by her insatiable imagination. although each book provided a temporary escape, she relished every second spent reading it and was always grateful to be privileged enough to own all the books in the castle. she’s endeavoring to finish all the books kept in the castle until she’d have to find more elsewhere.

once a piano player, now a forgotten skill.if there is a musical instrument she can play, it is the piano. being a royal meant you'd have to learn many things to be a well-rounded ruler, and she wasn't spared from learning at least one musical instrument of choice. she ultimately chose piano and received music lessons from mrs. wilsen on top of the other royal studies she was required to complete.however, years of abandoning the instrument from her coronation right until anna became queen meant that she could only play them half as well as she used to. she may not be an excellent player, but she knows how to play specific notes if she wants to.
